How to Test a Condenser Goodman

If you have ever owned a condenser and wondered if the condenser is a problem that you can fix yourself, then you should know that it is quite easy to do. The fact is that a condenser is only a problem if it is making your air conditioner work harder than it has to. For example, if you were heating your home and then the condenser was on but not producing the heat you were expecting it would be a problem. There are a couple of things that you can do to test a condenser before you start thinking about a replacement.

The easiest and most basic test is just to open the cover on the condenser and check the air flow. If the air flow is low, you will need to turn down the air filter in your air conditioner. If you have no filter, then you will just need to turn the compressor on. If you are not getting air through the ducts, then the condenser might be the problem. If you find that the air flow is too low, then you will want to run a test on the condenser. If you find that the condenser is still producing the amount of heat that it is supposed to be producing, then you will need to replace it with a new one.
