Condensers, for the large part, can manage the standard SPL blast fine. You might need to readjust the condenser. Unless the condenser is in exactly the correct position, Kohler illumination won’t be achieved. Generally it is used in its highest position or just slightly lower. It will remain centred when different objectives are selected, but the field iris diaphragm will have to be adjusted to just outside the field of view at different magnifications. Also, you’ll need to be in a position to raise and lower the condenser.
There are many types of microscopes, however, for students the most frequently used type is a simple compound light microscope.
